I caught my best Perch of 2 lb 9 oz when I was Eel fishing.I cast out a dead Roach under a tree and as it was sinking,the line started to move sideways.I thought it was over a sunken branch, but when I tightened up,I knew there was a fish on.It was quite a surprise,especially as I'd been told there were no Perch in the lake!
